Service & Support

Max2Play Installation Service
Every Max2Play system image is set up exactly according to the individual order: country, language, sound card and license. This way, Max2Play can guarantee a satisfying and hassle-free experience.

Max2Play Support
We offer support for all topics regarding Max2Play on our website:

On the AroioDAC, two independent clock chips are used as master clocks, one for the 44.1kHz multiples (e.g., standard CD quality) and one for the 48kHz (e.g., 96kHz or 192kHz Hi-Res files). Thanks to the exact frequency accuracy and high frequency stability, jitter and unwanted modulations are reduced to a minimum. During operation, a small blue LED indicates which master clock is currently active.

To avoid power-related disturbances, the three important areas of the board are fed completely independently of each other with high-precision voltage regulators from Analog Devices.

In order to guarantee the necessary current flow at any time, the circuit board is constructed as a 4-way multilayer (each with its own copper layer for ground potential and the supply lines). In addition, all areas are buffered with generous capacitors.

Technical Details:

  • Compatible with Raspberry Pi (A+/B+/2/3/3B+/4B)
  • Two separate, high-precision master clocks for 44.1 and 48kHz multiples
  • Three separate voltage regulators for analog part, digital part and clocks
  • 4-way multilayer PCB for optimal power supply
  • L/R RCA sockets, IR receiver
  • Separable power supply for AVDD and clocks as well as DVDD
  • Separate 8-pin GPIO header for audio connections
  • ID EEPROM for HAT ID
  • Fully supported by Max2Play
  • SMD and conventional assembly in Germany
