The popular Allo Boss DAC has two successors the BOSS 2 BOSS 2 and the BOSS 2 Player.


The BOSS from Allo, based on the PCM5122, is a successful DAC with gold-plated RCA connectors and its own masterclock. By switching to I2S master mode, the Raspberry Pi only sends data to the DAC and leaves the clock entirely to the BOSS with its two high quality NDK crystal oscillators. What makes this DAC so special is the separation of the voltage on 3 channels with different filters. One for the digital side, the second for analog and third for the clocks themselves. This translates to very low noise floor and better clock accuracy.

Plug & Play with Max2Play

Max2Play offers a browser-based administration interface for Raspberry Pi on a Linux basis. With Max2Play, applications (Max2Play extensions) can be installed and administrated on a minicomputer without any Linux knowledge. The controls can be accessed via smartphone, tablet or computer, without connecting a mouse or keyboard to the minicomputer. There is a special Allo Plugin available.
