Good product.... butIn essence, I think this is quite a good product and will so what I want it to do, Its inexpensive, seems to have lots of options and seems flexible. I would have given it 5 stars and a more positive review except for the support and documentation. You basically have to figure a lot out for yourself, the howto video's seem to be for previous versions and the support is of limited help. I am not sure if I am putting my questions across badly or there is another reason, but I rarely seemed to get an answer that helped. That said, I have figured out 90% of it and am pretty certain I can do the rest, Some more up to date documentation would be a help. Would I recommend it.. yes, if you are happy to figure these things out and if you have some prior experience/ are familiar with the Raspberry pi already.

Good product but difficult for hardcore Windows user.Struggling to get some basic things to work. Apparently to use equaliser lot of knowledge needed. Available online information is outdated. Lot of things i have tried following available information, just do nothing for me. Multiroom feature is da best though.

Simplest Multi-Room System out thereI had tried several other 'multi-room' setups for Raspberry Pi, and NONE were simple or effective...until I discovered MAX2PLAY. Really happy to have found MAX2PLAY and now have it running very smoothly across three rooms in the house (Bedroom, Living Room and Office), each with a Pi 3+ w/DAC, full 2.1 or 7.1 sound system. They all play in perfect sync, streaming from a Logitech Media Server on a small NUCi5-based Linux server in the office. Next I'll look into setting something up on the back deck, maybe the garage. And I'm going to look into using the LMS for remote, external (internet) listening - to possibly replace my Subsonic server system(?. Great Job!

Posted on

PerfectI downloaded Max2play and I've installed it on my Raspberry PI and Hifiberry Dac + Pro. No difficulties or issues.
Configuration easy and fast: Tannoy Turnberry, Leben amplifier, Raspberry Pi, QNAP Nas
I'm now deligthed to listen music stored on my hifi system. Choosing music on squeezer via smartphone, even playing with volume is perfect.
Just a note regarding the multi squeeze plugin that is not 100% clear, at least for me. Finally, I use 2 Raspberry PI and 2 squeezebox servers insteadPosted on

A review? Of course with pleasureI'm really happy with my multiroom system used with Max2play
Now I have a lot of fun with it and so simple to use.
I had to purchase a licence for a year and it works so fine with a lot of support.
Thanks to the staffPosted on

Love it!Thanks for checking on my recent purchase. I have it up and running in a “two pi” setup, one server and player. I am using a 7 inch touch screen with Jivelite on the player. Love it!

2 year premium licence.I am very happy to use my raspberry pi 3 with max2play. I already have a squeezebox touch and with LMS on raspberry I can play all my favourite music and internet radio station to my touch. Also I am very happy with the streaming of my music to my Bluetooth speaker that I have and I can move it to all places in my home. I believe that my purchase worth every euro I have spent.

Almost perfectI have just installed M2P on a Rasbperry 3 with Hifiberry Dac+. I use it as an Airplay soundunit and a Spotify Connect unit, and both works like a charm. I would appreciate two things:
1. The posilbily to name my services to something separate from the unit name, and that the name could contain spaces and national character ea. "Ljud köket"
2. The possibility to group with other Airplay sound source equipments. It works with other other units I have but not with M2P. Maybe that’s an Airplay2 function?
Comment from Max2Play:
Hi Anders, thank you for your feedback. We will look into possibilities to individually name players from different services. Unfortunately you are right with the AirPlay2 issue. However, many people are working on a possible integration for Raspberry Pi and once it's out we'll implement it.Posted on
